Overview

The PEGA 150 is a premium fixed frame projection screen with a 150″ diagonal in 16:9, a viewing area of 3.32 m by 1.87 m, a gain of 1.1, and a 140 degree viewing angle. The aluminum frame is covered with 3.5″ of velvet, which gives the screen an elegant, finished look for education, commercial presentation, and home cinema rooms.

Adjustable fix plates hold the screen fabric under equal tension across the whole projection surface, and sliding wall mounts let the screen be centred horizontally after it is hung. The 8 cm border surrounds the viewing area, and the soft white fabric can be cleaned. An acoustic fabric is available as an option.

Key Features

Where This Fits an AV Integration Project

The PEGA 150 suits spaces where the screen is a permanent, visible part of the room: lecture theatres, boardrooms, cinema rooms, and higher-end commercial presentation spaces. The velvet frame and tensioned fabric suit installations where finish matters as much as image size.

For a lower-cost fixed screen the economy PEGA 120 and PEGA 135 use a matte white fabric with 1.0 gain, and for a screen that retracts when not in use the VSPS electric screens are the alternative.

Installation & Setup

The PEGA 150 is wall mounted on sliding mounts. Hang the frame, then use the sliding wall mounts to centre it horizontally on the projector axis. Plan the screen position from the projector throw distance, and confirm the wall can carry a 150″ frame at the chosen height before fixing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is special about the PEGA 150 frame?

The PEGA 150 uses an aluminum frame covered with 3.5″ of velvet. The velvet gives the screen an elegant, finished appearance. The 8 cm border surrounds the 3.32 m by 1.87 m viewing area of the 150″ screen, which suits permanent, visible installations such as boardrooms and cinema rooms.

How does the PEGA 150 keep the screen surface flat?

Adjustable fix plates hold the screen fabric under equal tension across the whole projection surface, which helps keep the surface flat across the full 150 inches. This tensioning, together with the velvet frame and sliding wall mounts, is one of the differences between the premium PEGA 150 and the economy PEGA 120 and PEGA 135 screens.

What gain and viewing angle does the PEGA 150 have?

It has a gain of 1.1 and a viewing angle of 140 degrees. The slightly higher gain brightens the image a little compared with a 1.0 screen, while the 140 degree angle is narrower, so seating should sit within that cone for the best picture.

Can the PEGA 150 be centred after it is hung?

Yes. Sliding wall mounts allow horizontal centring after the frame is on the wall, so the screen can be aligned with the projector axis without remounting. Check the wall construction and the fixings before hanging the frame, because a 150-inch frame is large and needs secure fixings suited to the wall.

Is acoustic fabric available for the PEGA 150?

Yes. The standard fabric is PS white soft fabric, and acoustic fabric is available as an optional screen material. Acoustic fabric is chosen when loudspeakers are placed behind the screen, so confirm the fabric requirement with VSYS when specifying the order and before the screen is built.
