Overview

The VSPS135-M’s viewing surface is a matte white PVC-coated fabric (fiberglass-backed fabric optional) rated at 1.0 gain, tensioned across a 3.00 x 1.68m viewing area at a 16:9 aspect ratio, the largest fabric size in the VSPS motorized range. A 4-side black masking border (6cm top, 4cm bottom, 4cm sides) frames the image to lift perceived contrast without altering the projector’s actual output, and the fabric surface is wipeable for spot-cleaning between uses.

The largest fabric in the range stows inside the largest case too, a 322mm square steel roller housing finished in white. Unlike the smaller two sizes, the VSPS135-M is specified with either a standard tubular motor or an optional synchronized motor as a like-for-like swap decision at order time, since large-format and multi-screen installs are more likely to need matched drop timing across units than a single mid-size screen would. Control is by RF remote or a hardwired manual keypad switch either way.

Key Features

Where This Fits an AV Integration Project

At 3.00 x 1.68m, the VSPS135-M is sized for large auditoriums, lecture halls, and commercial presentation spaces where the back-row viewing distance justifies the largest image in the range rather than stepping up projector brightness alone. The 160° viewing angle keeps side-seating visibility intact even at this scale, and the masking border’s contrast lift remains useful in venues that mix ambient lighting with the projected image, such as a lecture hall with windows or supplementary task lighting.

This is also the size in the range where the synchronized motor option earns its keep: multi-screen installations, such as matched side-by-side screens in a large hall or a video-wall-style presentation setup, need drop timing to match closely enough that one screen isn’t visibly still moving after the others have stopped. Specify the synchronized motor at order time for any project with more than one VSPS135-M in the same room; the standard tubular motor remains the right choice for single-screen installs where only one unit needs to move.

Installation & Setup

The VSPS135-M mounts to either a wall or a ceiling structure via the roller case’s integrated brackets, then wires to standard power for the motor. As the largest and heaviest unit in the range, confirm the mounting surface’s structural capacity before drilling, and if the synchronized motor variant was ordered, verify the control wiring matches the synchronized-motor wiring diagram rather than the standard tubular motor’s, since the two aren’t interchangeable after installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the VSPS135-M the largest screen VSYS offers in this range?

Yes, at 3.00 x 1.68 meters it’s the largest viewing area in the VSPS motorized electric screen family, ahead of the 120-inch and 100-inch models. The case grows to match, at 322mm square, so confirm mounting clearance before ordering, particularly for ceiling installs in a finished space.

Should I order the standard motor or the synchronized motor?

Order the synchronized motor if this screen will drop and retract alongside another VSPS135-M in the same room, such as a matched multi-screen wall. Order the standard tubular motor for a single-screen install where nothing else needs to move in time with it. This choice is made at order time, not after.

Can a standard tubular motor unit be upgraded to synchronized later?

No, the motor type is fixed at manufacture and isn’t a field-retrofittable upgrade. If there’s any chance the project will later add a second synchronized screen in the same room, specify the synchronized motor at the time of the original order rather than planning to convert it afterward.

Does the larger size change the viewing angle or gain?

No, the VSPS135-M keeps the same 160° viewing angle and 1.0 gain as the 100-inch and 120-inch models in the range; only the viewing area, masking border dimensions, and case size scale up with screen size. The fabric material and optical properties stay consistent across the whole family.

What should I check before mounting a screen this size?

Confirm the wall or ceiling structure can bear the 322mm steel case and fabric assembly, the largest and heaviest in the range, before drilling any fixing points. If the synchronized motor was ordered, also verify the control wiring matches its diagram rather than the standard tubular motor’s, since they aren’t interchangeable.

What room types is the VSPS135-M actually built for?

Large auditoriums, lecture halls, and commercial presentation spaces where the back-row viewing distance justifies the largest image in the range instead of just increasing projector brightness on a smaller screen. The 160° viewing angle keeps side-seating visibility intact even at this larger scale.

Is the masking border a different size than the smaller models?

Yes, the VSPS135-M uses the same 6cm top border as the 120-inch model, with 4cm on the bottom and sides, larger than the 100-inch model’s 5cm top border. The proportionally larger border keeps the framing effect visually consistent against the bigger projected image.
